We're excited to announce the release of Alma L. Carr-Jones' first children's book, Almost a Boy. This delightful picture book shares the story of Tyler, a fun-loving toddler who is ready to grow up.
A resident of McKenzie, TN, her life's motto is, "Doing What I Can, While I Can with Care." Alma is a retired educator, and minister's wife.
Since her retirement as a teacher, writing has become her passion and calling. She says that to breathe is to write. Though she can write whatever is asked of her, she prefers to write words of encouragement for mankind and words of praise and of thanks to the Lord for His love of mankind.
Alma is a successful author and poetess who has produced 11 books to date, including Excelsior. Alma attributes all that she has accomplished to GOD, and this belief is reflected in the silver medallion she wears around her neck (and in the title of her second book of poetry), which reads, DEI Sub Numine Viget (Under GOD's Spirit, She Flourishes.)
Through her work as an author/poet, Alma proclaims her love for the Lord, His love for mankind, and her love for her fellowman by shouting from “the tallest mountain in her world.” She infuses hope and encouragement in her work.
